Letrozole (Trade Name: Femara)
Letrozole is a chemical that belongs to the class of compounds called Aromatase Inhibitors. It works by blocking the action of the Aromatase Enzyme which is responsible for the conversion of the naturally occurring hormone Testosterone in to Estrogen. Elevated levels of Estrogen have been linked to certain types of cancer such as breast and ovarian cancer.
